This course equips learners with a holistic understanding of components for an engaged and meaningful life after retirement: Having adequate finances, physical health, purpose, people and a positive mindset to take action (Happy). They will relate the theories and research studies to the HAPPPY framework, learn about the many opportunities and resources put in place to support active ageing in Singapore, and take action to help themselves. Participants will be ready to start and continue to put active ageing principles and resources into good use with comprehensive reference and resource lists in the accompanying coursebook RETIRE HAPPPY!

Chung Yin Wah

An educator for over 40 years, Yin Wah has a Masters in Education from Harvard University, an MBA from NUS, and a B.Sc. Ed (1st Class Honours) from University of Malaya, and is a trained facilitator. At Nanyang Polytechnic, Yin Wah supported staff educational development for more than 20 years, developing and facilitating pedagogy and andragogy workshops for full-time and adjunct lecturers. A passionate advocate for retirement planning, Yin Wah published RETIRE HAPPPY! in 2021.
