Silver Friend Wheelchair Servicing
The use of wheelchairs as a mobility aids by seniors has grown exponentially due to the ageing society of Singapore. The commercial servicing and repair of wheelchairs can be expensive and lacking. This programme aims to recruit, train and deploy volunteers to carry out servicing and simple repair work. The volunteers will also be trained to befriend the wheelchair-bound seniors who are typically more socially isolated and lonely.
You will be trained to befriend the wheelchair-bound seniors who are typically more socially isolated and lonely, and be engaged and enriched to serve the community through this programme.
