This course is for participants who enjoy watercolour painting as an activity to work with people with special needs. Participants will be taught various approaches and techniques such as scaffolding, dry brush and lines, hatching and cross-hatching to enable those under their care to express themselves through a pictorial composition, using mark-marking tools. This course is also suitable for teachers and caregivers who are interested to facilitate learning through the arts.

Ranae Lee-Nasir
Ranae Lee-Nasir is a local Visual Artist, Arts Educator and an Assistant Researcher with over 15 years of experience in conducting Visual Arts Lessons in drawing, painting, printmaking and mix-materials exploration for children and youth, including persons with special needs. She has led several community-based Visual Arts projects. Ranae has a passion for empowering individuals through artmaking. In 2015, she collaborated with the Ministry of Education and National Arts Council to develop the Visual Arts Toolkit for Special Education (SPED) Schools. Since 2016, she begun conducting workshops on art creation to train teachers and caregivers of people with special needs.Reviews on Course
