Participants will learn how to manage contentious/hostile situations and stay focused on the important matters, understand the facts and the arguments and how to remove any fixation on emotional issues, help make better decisions based on information, rational thinking and reflection and discover different ways to interpret the facts. Learners are then able to be aware that they are dealing with opinions or with fact, to avoid being tricked, misled, cheated, and making decisions hastily without sufficient research, and to engage meaningfully in discussions and to contribute effectively at home, with friends, and in the community.
