This experiential workshop will promote one’s self-expression, creativity & imagination using their bodies. The course focuses on enhancing the emotional well-being & stress reduction of the participants through improvisational tasks. Participants will respond to the tasks spontaneously and feel more confident to use their bodies to express their emotions and/or thoughts. Participants are given opportunities to create their movements based on the guided tasks. No dance experience is required.

Trainer's Profile

Linnea Ong

Linnea is an accredited Social Worker & Dance Artiste. She received her Master of Creative Industries from Queensland University of Technology, as well as Bachelor of Arts (Social Work) from NUS. She is keen to integrate both of her expertise to explore the potentiality of the body as an articulate tool for self-expression. She has performed major repertoires choreographed by the Odyssey Dance Theatre (ODT), as well as commissioned works. Amassing an extensive range of collaborative experiences with local & international dance practitioners, her sincere performativity through her works in various festivals in Australia, Italy, South Korea and Thailand have won her audiences’ commendations.
