This is a comprehensive workshop aimed at equipping community volunteers with essential knowledge and skills to support seniors and caregivers dealing with dysphagia. Participants will gain a clear understanding of dysphagia symptoms, risks, and its impact on seniors' well-being. They will learn to identify suitable food and fluid options for individuals with dysphagia, fostering a safe and nourishing diet

Evelyn is the Founder of Aphsia SG, and a speech therapist by training with a Masters of Science, Speech-Language Pathlogy (NUS). Passionate in her advocacy work for aphasia, she still manages to find to be a clinical educator with NUS Yong Loo Lin Sch. of Medicine.

Don Tan

Don has over 20 years of social work experience in eldercare sector, with wide range of gerontological social work know-hows such as case management, programme development, organisational change management and training- all in the aspiration of refining and delivering person-centred care to an older person and his/her caregiver. He has a Master of Social Work (SUSS).
