Exploring Short Science Fiction Writing (Conducted Online)

This course will introduce participants to the short science fiction story. Over eight sessions of combined workshop and discussion sessions, participants will draft and revise two short stories as well as build the skills needed to analyse and critique others’ writing. The course comprises of a series of text analysis and writing exercises, participants will explore narrative structures, character, worldbuilding, and the sociocultural context of science fiction and related genres, applying your learning to your work in progress at each stage.
