Art Exhibition: An Uplifting Journey

ART EXHIBITION: An Uplifting Journey will be showcasing over 100 artworks created by seniors who attended Brahm Centre’s art courses. Each piece is a testament to personal transformation — stories of individuals who’ve found new purpose and meaning through creative expression.
The name of this exhibition reflects its heart: by engaging in art, these seniors have lifted themselves — out of isolation, self-doubt, and even physical and emotional struggles — into a renewed space of joy, confidence, and connection.
"Art isn’t just for looking at — it’s for lifting lives" - Damien Hirst

In a society grappling with the challenges of a rapidly ageing population, art has the effect to heal, empower, and build resilient communities.
Our participants have found not only new skills, but also friendship, mental wellness, and a shared sense of belonging after taking part in our courses. Many participants have told us that the classes have given them a reprieve from the "negativity/anxiety", of the reality - which is better known as, LIFE!
Come and enjoy the demos of different art forms by our trainers and try your hands on some FREE art workshops happening throughout the duration of the art exhibition over all 3 days.
We are grateful to National Silver Academy and Skillsfuture for supporting the courses, making them very affordable to our seniors! We would also like to thank Goldbell Holdings for co-hosting the event.
At Brahm Centre, we offer over 30 art courses across our Newton, Simei, MacPherson, and Tampines centres. These classes are open to everyone and you do not need prior experience, nor a flair for creativity or artistry. We have specifically curated our courses to appeal to those in the community who have no prior experience, knowledge or training in art.
Experience the works, meet the artists, and be part of a journey that uplifts.
