Participants will gain an understanding of brain health and explore the different kinds of mental and physical activities to stimulate brain function. Through this course, participants will be able to recognise the importance of the brain and its role in our daily activities, apply and practise mental activities to maintain brain function, recognise how each area of the brain controls and helps us carry out our daily activities, apply and practise mental and physical activities to improve brain function, develop strategies to increase memory function and brain fitness and apply and practise mental and physical activities to improve brain function.

Trainer's Profile

 Loh Siew Mei

 Loh Siew Mei retired in 2017 and has since been dedicated to enhancing her caregiving skills, particularly in caring for her elderly mother. She has proactively pursued various courses to broaden her knowledge, including the Specialist Diploma in Gerontology, TCM Assistant, Basic Haircutting, Basic Practical Counselling, Basic Psychological First Aid, Elderly Caregiving, and Basic Dementia Care. With extensive experience in working with the elderly, Siew Mei actively engages in volunteer activities. She serves as a Silver Generation Ambassador, Care Facilitator at the National Museum of Singapore, and a Kampung Kakis senior befriender. Furthermore, she generously offers her haircutting services to nursing homes, active ageing centers, HCA Hospice, and less privileged elderly residents in multiple constituencies. During her 30-year corporate career, Siew Mei honed her skills in marketing, sales, negotiation, service orientation, and training through various regional roles.
